- Spiders, Snakes, Bees and Bats
- Big Bugs, Little Bugs
- Sea Creatures
- Poisonous, Smelly, and Amazing Plants
This book has everything: Colorful pictures, educational facts, and relates creation to God. I love the way the book offers snippets about each living thing. It is just enough information to engage a young reader’s curiosity and interest without getting them too bogged down in educational facts. Sometimes it isn’t easy to strike that balance. It is educational for parents, too. I learned some things about trees and mushrooms that I didn’t know before reading this book.
I also liked the way there was a balance between bugs, sea creatures, plants, trees, and snakes. It is perfect for giving young readers a taste of a large variety of life. I can just imagine a 4 year old identifying the pictures after having heard the book a couple of times! The suggested age range for this book is 4 – 8 years, but I think even older readers can enjoy it and learn something.
If you are looking for a great book that reinforces to readers that God did create everything with a purpose in mind, this is a great choice. It would make a great gift and would make an excellent quiet time read!
