His Treasure by Sheri Rose Shepherd

Book description:

If you have ever struggled to find a way to connect your heart to your heavenly Father, His Treasure is the book for you. In the tradition of Sheri Rose Shepherd’s bestselling His Princess series (with over one million in print) comes this book of beautiful “love letters” from God that will remind you of your priceless worth in Christ. Each scriptural love letter is written in language that speaks to the heart of every woman. You’ll discover treasures of truth, real love, and wisdom from God’s Word. Get ready for an amazing encounter with your King!

My review:

There is a letter in the pages of this book for almost any situation or emotion that a woman might experience.  It is filled with encouragement and reassurance that wherever we may find ourselves, God is there with us.  Not only can we read the letters, but Shepherd included pertinent Bible verses to reassure us that we are not alone in any circumstance.

My favorite part about this book is that it could be read straight through over a series of days and used as a devotional book, or readers can easily skip around to find a relevant letter to address their need or match their emotion.

This is only the second book I have read by Shepherd, but I have to say that I am a big fan.  Her writing style is personable and engaging.  As I read this book, I almost had the feeling that I was sitting with a dear friend.  It was easy to read, encouraging, uplifting, and refreshing.

If you are looking for a great book to reassure you of God’s love for you, this is a great choice.  It would also make an excellent gift for someone who is going through a difficult time in their lives.  I can’t wait to read another book by Shepherd!
