Henry Goes to the Big City by CJ Hitz and Shelley Hitz

Max is a little boy who learns about unconditional love through the adventure of a little mouse named Henry.  The story of the prodigal son is told through the eyes of a prodigal mouse, who returns home with a heart full of apology to find that his father orders the best cheese served in celebration of his return.

This cute, engaging story is a great way to introduce young children to the story of the prodigal son and the concept of unconditional love.  The illustrations are colorful and eye-catching and hold the attention of young children.

The questions at the end of the story provide a nice way for parents to further their child’s understanding of the story and the concepts presented in the story.

This book makes a great read aloud for very young children and an easy reading book for new readers.  If you are looking for a lovely book with a great message, check out this one!

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Body and Soul Publishing in exchange for my honest review.  All opinions are my own.
