Kylie Bisutti, former model, offers girls a devotional book to help them seek their inner beauty. Each of the 30 devotions is a short, two-page look at topic related to inner beauty. Some topics include security, being good enough, putting God first, becoming the woman God wants you to be, serving God, and the world’s lies.
This is a tiny, pocket-sized book. Girls could easily tuck it into a pocket, Bible, or a purse to make it easy to read and reflect on at any time. Each devotion is a very short reading, followed by a couple questions, and then wrapped up with a true beauty tip for girls to take away and hold on to.
The lessons in this book can not be emphasized enough for girls. They are surrounded by influences telling them that the way they look isn’t good enough, thin enough, or pretty enough. Bisutti intersperses the devotions with experiences from her modeling life, sharing tricks used to make perfection appear in magazines, but is, in actuality, a lie.
Anyone who has a girl in their life should get a copy of this book for them and encourage them to read and internalize the truths in it. The price is less than a dollar, but the lessons are invaluable.
I can’t recommend this book highly enough as a tool to encourage girls to love themselves as God loves them.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from Tyndale Publishers in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.
