Although Nick was born without arms or legs, he has not allowed that to stop him from inspiring people all over the world and sharing his faith with others. He is in demand as a speaker and serves as a leader of the organization Life Without Limbs. In this book, Nick offers readers encouragement and support for when they are dealing with personal crises, bullying, depression, cutting, relationship issues, and persecution.
The best part of this book is how it covers a little bit of everything, while offering encouragement. Some of the stories in the chapters made me cry, especially the one about bullying. I think one of the reasons why Nick is such an inspiring speaker is because he has experienced so many of the trials that readers or listeners are currently experiencing. I enjoyed reading about his stories and perspective throughout the book. I also think the stories he shared of people he’s met through his travels are inspiring and sometimes heartbreaking.
The only criticism I have for the book is that the print is small. I hate to even mention it, but if a reader has difficulty with smaller print, they might want to consider getting a large print version or a book on tape. Other than that slight criticism, I liked everything about the book. It was such an interesting, inspiring read that made any challenges in my life seem very small.
If you are struggling in any area of your life, whether it be with emotional issues, relationship issues, or financial issues, this book is for you. Vujicic offers advice through faith and putting that faith in action to inspire you. I think this book would be especially for high school students because so many of the issues Vujicic covers, students struggle with. After reading this book, you will have a different perspective on your problems.
Such an uplifting book!
