Cassie & Caleb Discover God’s Wonderful Design by Susan Hunt & Richie Hunt

Follow Cassie and Caleb through twenty chapters of fun, questions, and answers.  They explore topics such as why God made males and females different, if they are different, does that mean they are equal?, and what does it mean to belong to Jesus?  How can we know God’s plan for our future lives?  These questions and more are answered in this book in a kid-friendly, biblical way, that demonstrates not only God’s love for us, but also parent’s love for their children.

In addition to the short chapters designed to read aloud with your children, this book offers a series of questions to follow up the readings.  I found when reading this book out loud with my little ones, that they were engaged and had a lot of questions that were brought out from the text.  I enjoyed the doors of communication that this book helped to open. The stories were engaging, and the pictures were beautifully done.

I enjoyed reading this book out loud and the discussions that sprang forth from it.  I think the authors did a wonderful job breaking down biblical concepts using words that are easy for children to understand. The recommended age for this book is for boys and girls ages 5 through 8, and I think it is a great book for those ages.  Cassie and Caleb are shown doing a lot of activities that children that age participate in, so young readers can identify with them.

If you have children in your life, this would be a great book for them.  I recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a read aloud/discussion book for their kids.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from Moody Publishers in exchange for my honest review.  All opinions are my own.
