Abducted by Janice Cantore

This book picks up four months after Accused (book one) in this series leaves off.  Carly is out of juvenile duty, back on patrol with her old partner, and reconciling with her ex-husband Nick.  After her partner’s baby is taken from the hospital, Carly is thrust into a new investigation, trying to find out what happened and find the baby before it is too late.

I didn’t like this book as well as the first one.  The parts I liked the best were where the author referred back to characters and events from the first book, which moved more quickly than this one and held my interest.  I think the characters had more depth in the first book, and the plot was more interesting.

I wanted to like this book as much as the first one, but I just didn’t.  If you are a big fan of police drama, you might enjoy this book.  Also, if you absolutely fell in love with Carly from the first book and want to find out what happens next in her life, you might enjoy this book.  It just didn’t do anything for me.
