Accused by Janice Cantore

Carly Edwards is a newly-divorced police officer recently moved to juvenile duty after a shooting incident in the line of duty.  After a juvenile is involved in the murder of the mayor, her assignment is to obtain a confession.  However, during her interview of the suspect, she becomes convinced of his innocence and soon finds herself involved in conspiracy, suspicion, and danger as she tries to find the truth.

I am not a fan of police fiction, but received this book and checked it out.  I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it.  The police action is interesting and the characters make it enjoyable to read, even if you’re not a fan of police drama.  I liked the interpersonal relationships and the challenges that Carly goes through to maintain her career despite the difficulties of working with her ex-husband.

This book offers something for everyone.  If you are a fan of police drama, romance, mystery, or suspense, this book offers a little something for everyone.
